"Navy jet sonic booms = global warming"
"Plate tectonic activity = global warming"
"Solar flare activity = global warming"
"Hangnail = global warming"
They do this because nobody challenges them. They do it because they are ideologically blind to a scripted leftist agenda and will make up any cockamamie story to achieve it. Global warming is their story and like Ronal Reagan said:
"The problem with our liberal friends, is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so."
More policies by the Obama administration are forthcoming to implement sweeping changes to American industry. Changes that are couched in the myth that global warming is manmade and that it will destroy the planet. Despite the claims, global warming has not had the consensus of the scientists. In fact, the global warming political football is unraveling:
That was illustrated by Wednesday's release of "Climate Change Reconsidered II," a study by the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change, which draws its conclusions from thousands of peer-reviewed papers, and which finds global warming to be an entirely manageable, if not beneficial, change in the climate.
The report stands in stark contrast to the U.N.'s latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report of March 31, which predicts "severe impacts" from climate change, but which was toned down from earlier IPCC reports that predicted an array of global catastrophes resulting from the proliferation of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere.
The IPCC reports have, through the years, stood as the unassailable foundation for the Obama administration regulatory policy on global warming. "The debate is settled. Climate change is a fact," Obama said in his 2014 State of the Union Address.
"The dirty little secret is , we are now at 17 years and 8 months of no global warming," says Roger Pilon, Vice President for Legal Affairs at the Cato Institute. "Their models have failed year in and year out, " he says of the scientists who comprise the 97 percent consensus the administration frequently cites.
The NIPCC report finds:
-- That warming from greenhouse gases will be so small as to be indiscernible from natural variability.
-- The impact of modestly rising CO2 levels on plants, animals and humans has been mostly positive.
-- The costs of trying to limit emissions vastly exceed the benefits.
The NIPCC report was immediately assailed by administration supporters.

It gets better:
Speaking in Portland, Oregon Tuesday night [of course] Hillary Clinton said to vigorous applause, "Climate change is a national security problem, not just an environmental problem."
Then we have these doozies from our very own Secretary of State, and fellow Catholic John Kerry:
John Kerry on climate change: “Denial of the science is malpractice”
The costs of inaction are catastrophic,” he said. At the same time, he emphasized global responsibility for the problems we’re facing. ”No single country causes climate change,” he said, “and no one country can stop it.”
“The clock is ticking,” he added. “The more we delay, the greater the threat. Let’s make our political system wake up and let’s make the world respond.”
- Paris France, March 31, 2014
He has more:
“Leading the way toward progress on this issue is the right role for the United States, and it’s the right role for the Department of State,” Kerry wrote. “That’s why I’ve decided to make climate change the subject of my first Policy Guidance as Secretary of State.”
“This isn’t just a challenge, it’s also an incredible opportunity,” Kerry added. “And the Policy Guidance I’m issuing today is an important step in the right direction.”
“Lead by example through strong action at home and abroad… Conclude a new international climate change agreement… Implement the Global Climate Change Initiative… Enhance multilateral engagement… Expand bilateral engagement… Mobilize financial resources… Integrate climate change with other priorities,” according to Kerry.
“One thing’s for sure: there’s no time to lose,” Kerry added. “The scientific facts are coming back to us in a stronger fashion and with greater urgency than ever before.”
- March 10, 2014
and more, this time stooping to condescending name calling, fear mongering, bullying, and embarrassingly outright unprofessional sandbox behavior:
US Secretary of State John Kerry recently said that climate change is as big a threat as terrorism.
Speaking to students in Jakarta, Indonesia, Kerry said, “Think about the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. It doesn’t keep us safe if the United States secures its nuclear arsenal while other countries fail to prevent theirs from falling into the hands of terrorists. The bottom line is this: it is the same thing with climate change.”
He continued, “The science is unequivocal, and those who refuse to believe it are simply burying their heads in the sand. We don’t have time for a meeting anywhere of the Flat Earth Society.”
- Jakarta Indonesia, February 17, 2014
Yet John Kerry says this in the face of glaring scientific opposition to "manmade global warming." Even the co-founder of environmentalist movement Greepeace, Patrick Moore, had this to say:
“There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years.” He added that environmental groups like the one he helped establish used faulty computer models and scare tactics in promoting claims man-made gases are heating up the planet.
Even if the planet is warming up, Moore said it would not endanger mankind because humans are a “subtropical species” anyway.
In fact The Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change's 1,000-page report documenting global warming’s beneficial impact on the biosphere, Climate Change Reconsidered II: Biological Impacts, provides a comprehensive analysis of global warming’s impacts on plants, terrestrial animals, aquatic life, and human well-being. The new volume is the fifth produced by the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change. A sixth volume, Climate Change Reconsidered II: Human Welfare, Energy, and Policies, is scheduled for release later this month. More than 30 scientists served as authors and reviewers for the new volume. The volume cites more than 1,000 peer-reviewed studies supporting the conclusion that global warming is not causing substantial harm to the biosphere.
So really, while all the liberals like to play the fear monger card so readily, here there is absolutely not a doubt that the left is fear mongering and bullying their agenda through in spite of the scientific opposition to global warming policies.
